I have been using the lotion sand which method (lotion first, then treatment, then lotion) and it helps with the sting at first. After a couple weeks I don’t need to use the lotion sand which method anymore. The body gets use to the cream quickly and smells amazing. My spots were/are very dark due to years of laying out in the sun (beach/river/pool) and going to the tanning bed and this cream is standing up very well to all that sun damage I put my skin through over many, many, many years.
